About

HR UNSCRIPTED is an Employee Relations and Human Resources provider. It is a level 4 BEE certified entity which entitles any client doing business with it to claim 100% of its spend towards its procurement scorecard for BEE purposes.

From a seed planted several years ago, finally a business model was conceived that focusses on Human Resources from various different angles ensuring that fairness is indeed applied and to ensure relationships remain in place.

In 2022, the ground work was done, and in 2023 HR UNSCRIPTED was founded. Mr. Wikus Strydom has obtained over 20 years’ experience within Human Resources and Employee Relations. During his career, Mr. Wikus Strydom observed what is considered normal practice within various Human Resources Departments across various industries. Although standard practice is acceptable as a minimum, it is imperative to understand that Human Resources consists of so much more, and if implemented with the correct approach will lead to harmonious work environments, a more attractive culture for new and existing employees, fewer disruptions within operations and higher performance ratios.

Mr. Wikus Strydom graduated with Honours from the University of Greenwich (UK) in 2009 in the field for Business Management and has obtained his National Diploma in Labour Relations and Dispute Resolution in 2022. With this combination HR UNSCRIPTED understands both Business and the Human Factor. Understanding both aspects and how to integrate business objectives with the capabilities of individuals within the respective laws is a skill that is actually scares. Individuals are either invested in one or the other, however HR UNSCRIPTED recognise both as equally important. This is our edge, our X-factor.

Mr. Wikus Strydom identified the gap in approach and started adopting the new approach to Human Resources. The results were beyond all expectations. The experiment revealed that the general perception of Human Resources was very depressing. Human Resources were deemed as enforcers of Policy and Procedures and the disciplining of individuals. In principle this may be correct, however Human Resources offers so much more.

The experiment showed massive increase in all aspects of HR. Staff retention has seen a steady improvement, performance management became a promise to commit to ensure improvement and consistency. Disciplinary matters decreased severely, even less in CCMA referrals.

A change in the Recruitment Process and how Mr. Wikus Strydom approached various new and different methods of sourcing has shown that the new approach by far outplays the conventional methods used. During his career, Mr. Wikus Strydom still holds a personal record of having placed vacancies within various deadlines, various levels of seniority with the methods trail and tested. This also enabled Mr. Wikus Strydom to fill the various positions with no involvement of external recruitment service providers. This method has saved organizations the unnecessary expense of placement fees.

Employee Relations

Inclusive but not limited to chairing disciplinary hearings, facilitating grievance hearings and resolving workplace conflict are designed to bring organisational balance by resolving employee-related and employee relations problems in organisations in a legally compliant, prompt and professional manner.

Employee Relations is considered the “hard” part of Human Resources. During these proceedings it is very easy to be overwhelmed with emotion; compromised emotions could place more unnecessary pressure on the parties involved. Labour discussion/proceedings are never easy. HR UNSCRIPTED will take the burden of chairing, facilitating or mediating any internal discussions. HR UNSCRIPTED will also represent the client at CCMA proceedings should any referrals be submitted.

Employers wishing to venture into a partnership with HR UNSCRIPTED has 2 options available. Clients can opt for services on ad hoc basis, these fees are calculated as “Per Assignment” per hour. Alternatively, the client is welcome to opt for the retainer option, this constitutes a monthly payment, HR UNSCRIPTED will attend to any Human Resources or Labour Relation matter as and when they arise with the client’s instruction, cost would then be calculated at discounted rates associated with the relevant retainer.

Recruitment

With our unmatched Recruitment Model, recruitment has never been this easy. HR UNSCRIPTED advertise and source candidates through other methods than the conventional methods. Our Database is built on relevant and updated information. We keep in constant communication with our candidate to ensure we have the latest information available at all times. We found in the past that candidates rarely update their CVs on the various portals, making sourcing difficult especially when the information is outdated. Our approach minimizes the frustration of incomplete applications.

Recruitment has two major approaches. Reactive recruitment and Proactive Recruitment. HR UNSCRIPTED invests the necessary time to understand our clients’ business and requirements. In doing so, we can start with various pipeline recruitment initiatives for areas identified as high turnover areas, the benefit is that the time to hire becomes much shorter. HR UNSCRIPTED takes this initiative even further by promoting candidates to employers who might be suitable for the industry.

Consulting

HR UNSCRIPTED is not experts in the field of Health and Safety and BBEEE, however HR UNSCRIPTED has the necessary knowledge to guide clients in terms of the legal requirements linked to these areas. However, HR UNSCRIPTED can refer a professional service provider should the requirements in this regard exceed that of basic assistance.

Communication and Travel

All meetings and appointments will be done virtually, this is to manage costs associated. However certain matters need in person attention, these exceptions will be communicated with clients beforehand, however the client remains in control as to whether a virtual or in person platform would be required. Terms and Conditions in this regard may be found on our Service Level Agreement (SLA).

As u enige werk aan kliënte aflewer, is daar 'n opsie om saam met ons aan enige van 'n aantal modelle te werk, insluitend die volgende:

Menslike hulpbronne

Ons oplossings en dienste vir menslike hulpbronne is ontwerp om te verseker dat organisasies gesond bly deur te verseker dat waardevolle en geskoolde menslike hulpbronne aangetrek en behou word om te verseker dat die organisasie optimaal werk.

Werwing

Met ons ongeëwenaarde werwingsmodel was werwing nog nooit so maklik nie. HR UNSCRIPTED adverteer en werf bronkandidate deur middel van ander metodes as die konvensionele metodes. Ons databasis is gebou op relevante en bygewerkte inligting. Ons hou voortdurend kontak met ons kandidate om te verseker dat ons die nuutste inligting te alle tye beskikbaar het. Ons het in die verlede gevind dat kandidate hul CV's selde op die verskillende portale opdateer, wat die verkryging van die kandidate bemoeilik, veral as die inligting verouderd is. Ons benadering verminder die frustrasie van onvolledige toepassings.

Werwing het twee belangrike benaderings. Reaktiewe werwing en proaktiewe werwing. HR UNSCRIPTED belê die nodige tyd om ons kliënte se besigheid en vereistes te verstaan. Sodoende kan ons begin met verskillende pypleiding -werwingsinisiatiewe vir gebiede wat as hoë omsetgebiede geïdentifiseer is, die voordeel is dat die tyd om aan te stel baie korter word. HR UNSCRIPTED neem hierdie inisiatief nog verder deur kandidate te bevorder aan werkgewers wat moontlik geskik is vir die bedryf.

Konsultasie

HR UNSCRIPTED is nie kundiges op die gebied van gesondheid en veiligheid en BBEEE nie, maar HR UNSCRIPTED het die nodige kennis om kliënte te lei in terme van die wetlike vereistes wat aan hierdie gebiede gekoppel is. HR UNSCRIPTED kan egter 'n professionele diensverskaffer verwys indien die vereistes in hierdie verband die basiese hulp oorskry.

Kommunikasie en Reis

Alle vergaderings en afsprake sal op virtuele of persoonlike platforms gedoen word, dit is om koste verbonde te bestuur. Sekere aangeleenthede het egter persoonlik aandag nodig, hierdie uitsonderings sal vooraf met kliënte gekommunikeer word, maar die kliënt bly in beheer en het die opsie om tussen virtuele of persoonlik platfors te kies.   • Labour Consulting – HR UNSCRIPTED believes everyone should be given the opportunity to be heard. That is why we offer all individual clients a free 40min virtual consultation. This only applies to the first consultation relating to Labour Disputes.
  • Representation during Internal Disciplinary Matters (Subject to application approval)
  • Representation during CCMA Matters (Subject to application approval)
Communication and Travel

All meetings and appointments will be done virtually, this is to manage costs associated. However certain matters need in person attention, these exceptions will be communicated with clients beforehand, however the client remains in control as to whether a virtual or in person platform would be required. Terms and Conditions in this regard may be found on our Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Individue het die reg om gehoor te word, die reg op 'n geskikte werksomgewing en die reg om beskerm te word. Selde werkgewers dwing hul wil op werknemers af omdat werksekuriteit nie meer bestaan nie. Werknemers aanvaar swak behandeling, aangesien die alternatief tot werkloosheid kan lei. As u uself ooit in 'n posisie bevind waar u advies nodig het, moet u nie verder soek nie, HR UNSCRIPTED se standpunte vir waarheid en regverdigheid sal u die nodige gemoedsrus gee. Dit is meer gereeld as wat ons besef, individue/werknemers weet selde van hul regte of is te bang om aksie of vraaggedrag te inisieer. Ongelukkig is die werkgewer bewus van hierdie tekortkoming en sal dit tot hul voordeel gebruik word. Moenie onkant betrap word nie.   • Proaktiewe hulp met werksoektogte (deur u CV in te dien vir 'n genoteerde vakatuur of bloot om deel te word van ons onafhanklike databasis, sal HR UNSCRIPTED u aansoek by sy kliënte bevorder, selfs al is daar geen vakature tans beskikbaar nie). Dit is die ware funksie van n werwingsagentskap. *Let daarop dat, volgens POPIA, toestemming moet gee om HR UNSCRIPTED toe te laat om u aansoek te bevorder bo oop vakatures wat op ons webwerf gelys is.
  • Arbeidskonsultasie - HR UNSCRIPTED glo dat almal die geleentheid moet kry om gehoor te word. Daarom bied ons alle individuele kliënte 'n gratis virtuele konsultasie van 40 minute aan. Dit geld slegs vir die eerste konsultasie rakende arbeidsgeskille.
  • Verteenwoordiging tydens Interne Dissiplinêre Aangeleenthede (onderhewig aan goedkeuring van aansoeke)
